ARMY, This is HUGE! BTS are officially performing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final halftime show, making history as part of the first-ever halftime performance at a World Cup final.
The match will take place on July 19th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and BTS will share the stage with music legends Madonna and Shakira. Honestly, seeing BTS headline one of the biggest global events in the world feels like another proud full-circle moment for the group and for ARMY everywhere
The announcement video was chaotic in the best way possible, featuring Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Sesame Street characters, The Muppets and even a surprise FaceTime call with BTS. Fans immediately lost it online.
This performance comes during BTS’s massive comeback era following military service. Their latest album, ARIRANG, debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and stayed there for three weeks straight, whilst ARIRANG WORLD TOUR had already been selling out across multiple countries.
Now, BTS are bringing that same energy to the FIFA World Cup stage, a platform watched by millions worldwide. From stadium tours to global cultural moments, the members continue proving why they are one of the most influential groups in music history.
The halftime show is also tied to Global Citizen’s education initiative, helping raise funds to improve access to education and football programs for children around the world.
One thing is certain: July 19th is about to become another unforgettable chapter in BTS history, and ARMY will absolutely be seated!
